Sometimes the next step appears only after we take the first one.

There are moments in life when we want an answer.

We want to know what is coming.
We want to know whether we are making the right decision.
We want to know when the door will open, where it will lead, and who will be standing on the other side.

And yet, perhaps one of the great mysteries of being human is this:

We are rarely given the entire map.

We are given a whisper.

A feeling.

A number that keeps appearing.

A Tarot card that seems to speak directly to something we have been carrying in our hearts.

A synchronicity that makes us pause and wonder, “Was that meant for me?”

Maybe the invitation isn’t to know everything.

Maybe it is simply to become willing to listen.

The wisdom of the numbers

Numerology has always fascinated me because numbers can offer another language for understanding the rhythm of our lives.

Your birth date contains patterns that can illuminate your Life Path, personal cycles, talents, challenges and possibilities.

But I don’t believe numbers are here to take away your freedom.

Quite the opposite.

They can give you a mirror.

They can help you recognize where you are, what themes may be asking for your attention, and where you might be ready to grow.

Your numbers don’t have to tell you what to do.

They can help you ask a better question:

“What is life inviting me to understand right now?”

And sometimes that question changes everything.

The wisdom of the cards

Tarot can offer something similar.

A card doesn’t have to be a prediction carved in stone.

It can become a doorway into your own inner wisdom.

You may look at an image and suddenly recognize something you have been feeling but couldn’t put into words.

The card may bring forward a possibility.

A fear.

A dream.

A relationship pattern.

A choice you’ve been avoiding.

Or perhaps simply the quiet knowing that says:

“You already know more than you think you do.”

That is where the magic begins.

Not because someone outside of you has all the answers, but because something within you begins to speak.

What if uncertainty isn’t a problem?

We are often taught to think uncertainty means something has gone wrong.

But what if uncertainty is simply the space between what was and what is becoming?

Think about a seed.

Before the flower appears, there is a period when nothing seems to be happening.

But beneath the soil, something is happening.

Roots are forming.

Life is organizing itself.

The unseen is preparing the seen.

Perhaps our lives have seasons like that too.

There may be times when we feel as though we are standing still when, in truth, something important is rearranging beneath the surface.

We don’t always need to force the flower open.

Sometimes we need to tend the soil.

Your next chapter may not look like your last one

One of the most beautiful things about life is that we are never finished becoming.

You may have spent years being one version of yourself.

The caretaker.

The responsible one.

The strong one.

The one who kept everyone else together.

The one who stayed small because it felt safer.

The one who waited for permission.

And then, somewhere along the way, something inside whispers:

“There is more.”

More life.

More creativity.

More love.

More freedom.

More truth.

More of you.

That doesn’t mean you have to throw everything away and begin again tomorrow.

Sometimes transformation is much quieter.

It may begin with saying no.

Resting.

Writing the email.

Making the phone call.

Taking the class.

Returning to something you once loved.

Allowing yourself to receive.

Or finally admitting:

“This no longer feels like me.”

That admission can be the beginning of a new chapter.

A little experiment for today

Instead of asking:

“What is going to happen?”

Try asking:

“What is trying to emerge?”

Then become still.

Take three slow breaths.

Put your hand over your heart.

And notice the first honest thought, feeling, image or word that arises.

Don’t judge it.

Don’t argue with it.

Don’t immediately explain it away.

Simply listen.

You might even pull one Tarot card or look at your current numerology cycle and ask:

What am I being invited to see?

Not What must I do?

Not What will definitely happen?

Just:

What am I being invited to see?

There is tremendous freedom in that question.

You don’t have to see the whole staircase

Sometimes we believe we need certainty before we can move.

But life often works in the opposite direction.

We take one step.

Then another becomes visible.

We listen.

We respond.

We trust.

We learn.

We adjust.

And eventually we look back and realize that what seemed like a collection of disconnected moments was actually creating a path.

Perhaps the Universe doesn’t always hand us a map because it wants us to experience the journey.

To discover our own wisdom.

To become more deeply acquainted with ourselves.

To learn that we can meet the unknown without abandoning ourselves.

And perhaps the greatest guidance isn’t somewhere outside of us at all.

Perhaps it is the quiet Light within.

Your invitation

Today, give yourself permission not to have every answer.

You don’t have to know exactly how everything will unfold.

You don’t have to know every step.

You don’t even have to know the destination.

You only need to become quiet enough to recognize the next loving step.

And then take it.

One number.
One card.
One insight.
One breath.
One step.

And who knows?

The moment you stop demanding that life reveal the entire story, you may become available for the next beautiful chapter to reveal itself.

Miracles shall follow miracles, and wonder shall never cease.

With love,
