On January 27, 2009, Bruce Springsteen released his 16th studio album, Working on a Dream. I too AM working on a dream – To Love and become Beloved. I believe it is a skill to be practiced. Just like meditation is a practice, like playing the piano or working out at a gym. Perhaps loving ourselves may be the most important practice we can do – to love yourself with the same devotion as if your life depended on it. Simply because it does. In simplicity lies power. Remember the Kiss principle just keep it simple.
Last week after writing on the topic ‘Let’s Fall in Love’ my life just became more loving more of a mystical exploration of love itself. It would take an e-book to write down the experiences; however, it fascinated me because it was all from the inside out! All I had to do was to just think it feel it and then become it. And, viola’ just as I believed all along if you don’t go within you go without! One of my readers even wrote after reading the Muse-Letter that I was going to have a magical day. She couldn’t of been more spot-on. I did. In releasing the energy that is anything less than loving we can then replace it with our soul’s signature which is pure love itself. What happens is that a new strength grows from within us. Concepts fall away and in their place miracles reveal themselves. When we connect to that true self no other discovery may be as peace loving or joyful. Moreover, then we never have to depend on something outside of ourselves to make us happy. Our true self is forever and depends on no one or no thing. In detaching from our false selves and open our hearts to love the awareness opens us up to possibilities that our egos could never fulfill. As Rumi wrote, “Let yourself be drawn by the stronger pull of that which you truly love.” When you become the energy of love you allow love to come through and to you.
It is making a commitment 24/7 to just be love. Stay there until you feel that recognition swell up within you. You are then tuned into a vibration with who you really are. In a week my life has been transformed even more than I could ever imaged. It is as if the universe is just waiting for us to recognize our own magnificence and to fall in love with ourselves.
Just as freedom isn’t being free from one thing or another – at its core it is ultimate freedom. Happiness isn’t one thing or another it is a state of pure wholeness. In experiencing the duality of any of these emotions we only experience a portion of what they truly feel like; however, when we can affirm I AM love and become love itself I believe we can end much of our suffering and return ourselves to the wholeness that was always there to begin with. Deepak Chopra in his book the Deeper Wound wrote, “Love ignites the spark of life and gives it a worth that is infinite.” He urges us to not be tempted to waste so much time on trivialities but to stake our life on what is timeless and infinite. Love is the only reality. Nothing feels better in all of the universe then to love. As Abraham Hicks says, “As you look out for the intention of finding love don’t look for the love through their eyes look for the connection through your eyes….And when you are the Me that loves it is easy to love this one and that one… it becomes irrelevant who you love. It is not love of self it is love that is Self.
