Dear Spiritual Courageous Champions,
We are being cracked open while we are in the midst of a conscience revolution where many of us are shifting so rapidly. As we undergo an initiation process that is requiring letting go of the familiar and comfortable, we are getting to the root of what really matters. Through our experiences, challenges, ordeals and joy, we are able to learn what we are born to do, what gifts we were meant to bring to the world and what our heart’s desire really is to envision and embody. Hence, entry into the life of the Soul- a life of passion, enchantment, and service.
However, for the most part in contemporary Western society, this world journey is not only misunderstood, it isn’t exactly encouraged by our culture. Which consists of the majority of parents, teachers, health professionals, and/or cultural leaders, to say nothing of mainstream business, science, or politics. Yet here lies the truth of all truths. Not only is it a genuine possibility for all of us to reach that level, it is the SOLE reason why we are here! To live a SOUL-ful life by following our own original blueprint of why we are here and living our full potential of what we have come to do! Moreover, when we are in alignment we are able to make conscious decisions that are graced from our truth! Living in the ebb and flow of life, we are in the moment that is benefiting our connection with our own Divinity!
In Bill Plotkin’s post on Soul Awakening, he wrote, “Everyone yearns for — and needs — a purpose that can be embodied, a meaning that can be lived. Our mortality demands it of us. Our love for our own life, for all living things, and for community pours itself into the world, like a prayer, through our deepest purpose. But what we mean by and experience as “purpose” depends on our stage of life and our depth of psycho-spiritual development.”
As humans we all need a purpose. A reason to get out of bed in the morning. Moreover, our evolution demands it of us. Many times we are struggling to find just what we mean by this and so we may keep course correcting until we finally find it!
From my own experience, when I am not fully rooted and aligned with my Soul, I will continue not only to stay out of balance, but wherever the wind blows will determine my true North! It is work that I must do to keep searching for the balance between myself and the rest of the world. Basically, I give away my power to whatever outside influences have the loudest voices at any given moment when I am not fully committed to it!
As Solomon Katz, the author of the book, ‘A state of Being’ writes, “We can see, then, that there is so much at stake within this topic of purpose, within this underworld realm of soul. A human with no purpose at all is a tragedy, a wasted life. A human with only an ego-level, psychologically adolescent purpose might realize some happiness and fulfillment, might in a variety of invaluable ways serve his or her community and the greater web of life, but could also end up being the worst kind of affliction: If he or she operates from a damaged ego and also “rises” to a position of significant economic, political, or military power, there’s no limit to how much havoc s/he can wreak — as we’ve seen throughout history and especially in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. But an initiated person, a true adult, whose ego is in service to soul, not to itself, whose conscious purpose is fully aligned with his or her soul’s purpose, with his or her ecological niche in the web of life, this person possesses the power to enhance life in never-before-seen ways, to cooperate creatively with evolution, to participate — wildly and imaginatively — in the great work of our time.”
Katz goes on to say, “For this reason, I sometimes refer to the psychological or spiritual work as “the chiropractics of the soul.” A chiropractor tries to line the body up, to relieve the impingement that is causing pain. When the spine is straight, in place, when no nerves are pressed upon, energy flows freely and pain disappears. In the psychological or spiritual domain, when the “soul” is properly aligned, suffering disappears. This implies, again, that peace and happiness are the natural condition. Unhappiness is only a symptom of misalignment, inner disturbance calling for attention. When the soul is properly aligned, happiness reappears – the state of balance to which we all aspire. When the mind is “in joint” it causes no disturbance; it is quiet. It is like the power tool used well, according to purpose, and only when needed. (You don’t keep the chainsaw running in the living room all day). There is no anxiety, no depression, no thought of fear or failure which is mind out of joint.”
The most important thing to emphasize about our Soul purpose is that it is the driving force that pushes us to be fully and authentically ourselves! The gift in us that keeps on giving. The gift we were born to give birth to and share with the world.
As Gary Snyder writes, “The world is made of stories. Good stories are hard to come by, and a good story that you can honestly call your own is an incredible gift. These stories are part of a bigger story that connects us all.” Let your heart sing, know your gift(s) are what you long for to sing out loud with your beauty, your own authentic being and yours alone makes the world a better place!
To all of you that allowed me into your lives, thank you! I feel tremendous gratitude. For every friend who truly listens. For being given this opportunity to serve and to share. For Life itself. For everything. I continue to be humbled over and over again.
